 1916 Albert was born in Lyminge in 1889. When he left school he worked at Wick Farm, Elham. In 1907 he joined the Royal Garrison Artillery as a gunner and went to India. In January 1915 he went to Mesopotamia for the campaign against the Turks. He died of desease at Kut in July 1916. It is not clear if he was taken POW at the seige.
