                         Albert was born in Lyminge in 1889. When he left school he worked at Wick Farm, Elham. In 1907 he joined the Royal Garrison Artillery as a gunner and went to India. In January 1915 he went to Mesopotamia for the campaign against the Turks. He died of desease at Kut in July 1916.
